Venzano in Print

Venzano's beauty has inspired numerous writers, including renowned horticultural author Stephanie Donaldson (whose other credits include a classic on organic gardening with Prince Charles) who wrote a coffee-table book about our gardens.

Stunning photographs and clear text show the cycle of the seasons at Venzano, and how life there slows to a perfect pace for everyone.

Stephanie's book - and those by other authors which include Venzano - are often available on Amazon.

From Conde Nast Traveller (2004):

"Venzano is an enchanting place, a 12th-century Augustinian monastery with a starry-vaulted chapel in the angular volcanic hills south of Volterra. Not only are the gardens wonderful - the scents both day and night are unforgettable - there is a relaxed and intimate atmosphere and visitors frequently hold communal dinner parties. There are three impeccable apartments with cool, serene bedrooms, all decorated in the same faded green-blue found in the churches of nearby Volterra."
